We are a busy and professional artist’s studio, specializing in mosaic art, and located in heart of the City of San Diego, in the community of Normal Heights. All of our projects are custom designed and assembled by hand. Artist Kim Emerson specializes in everything mosaic art and works full-time on a multiple of projects, and sometimes all at once.

In the Autumn of 2024, the Janice Charach Gallery located in Metro Detroit, Michigan, hosted the Mosaic Art International (MAI) exhibition. The gallery also hosted a panel discussion entitled “From Ancient Floors to Gallery Walls: What Is Mosaic Art Now?” The panel brought the Janice Charach Gallery director and artist - Natalie Balazovich, Cultural critic and Dean Emeritus at the College for Creative Studies who was one of the MAI jurors - Vince Carducci PhD, and mosaic artist and founder of Mosaic Opus Studio and instructor - Sue Giannotti. The panel discussion was led by the article author, Ruth Tyszka.

Kim Emerson set the tone as the keynote presenter for this international mosaic artist’s conference held in Eugene, Oregon, May 8 – 12, 2024.

CMA2 invited Kim to welcome the attending artists at the conference, and to share her story about her 33 year career of working as a mosaic artist. She also led a panel discussion about the future of mosaic art…
