It was a special vacation adventure to the island of Santorini, Greece that inspired the client to seek a mosaic artist to recreate this postcard image for their kitchen, so that they could be happily reminded of their wonderful trip. The client found Kim Emerson via her website, and they preferred to work with a local artist. Kim Emerson was thrilled when they contacted her because Kim herself had the opportunity to travel to Santorini in the summer of 1985. Kim truly understood the splendor and beauty of this magical isle, and was thrilled to recreate it piecing the Grecian white and blue smalti glass together.
