"Ocean Dances" is a sculpture and water fountain covered with 400 square feet of ceramic tile mosaic. The project was the art component for the newly remodeled Sun Harbor Marina located on the water's edge of San Diego Bay. The waves are sculpted out of Expanded Poly-Styrene (EPS), imbedded with rebar, and covered with thick cement. Water flows from the top of the waves down into the basin pool below. The glass rock is lit at night from behind with fiber optics. The fish are Albacore Tuna, which are the main catch for the sports fishing fleet located adjacent to the Marina.
