“Between Earth and Sky: Interactive Shade and Water Sculpture”
Commissioned by the City of La Quinta, California for the new Fritz Burns Community Park. This project was a collaboration in design and installation with San Diego artist Alber De Matteis. The sculpture is constructed of reinforced columns embellished with handmade ceramic tile and the shade canopy is built of steel and copper. Located in the park near a swimming pool, a pushed button sprays water. Completed May 1996.
