“Play Space” at Harding Family Community Center and Head Start
Commissioned by the Citizens Council for the Arts in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. This project was a collaboration with nationally acclaimed Spokane, Washington artist Harold Balasz, community volunteers, and local teens. The mosaics created by Emerson and teen girls consists of 125 square feet depicting the nature, his tory and folklore of this remote northern Idaho town. The mosaic tile installation is adhered to the symbolic entranceway to the play area created by Balasz and his volunteers. Mosaics completed August 2001.
